Mark Harris is a freelance journalist who often writes about the intersection of popular culture, gender issues, and politics. His cover stories have recently appeared in Time, New York, and Entertainment Weekly. His book Pictures at a Revolution: Five Movies and the Birth of the New Hollywood, was named a New York Times Notable Book in 2008. He is currently working on a new book about Hollywood in the World War II years, to be published in 2012. He lives in New York with his husband, Tony Kushner.

Edmund White has written more than twenty books--most recently City Boy. He teaches writing at Princeton. He has had several plays produced including Terre Haute last year in New York and in the U.K.
