MISSION TRANSPORT GROUP aims to transport audiences with innovative American theatre. We produce and develop plays and musicals, both world-premieres and revivals, by American writers and composers, that explore the American psyche in the 20th & 21st Centuries.
HISTORY Founded in 2001 by Jack Cummins III and Robyn Hussa, we have staged twelve productions: six plays and six musicals, including six world premiers and six revivals. Although we have produced play readings, solo shows and special events and have done outreach projects to disadvangtaged communities, our main focus now is the presentation of two fully staged words annually. Our recently completed 7th season included a revival of the classic American anti-war drama Bury the Dead by Irwin Shaw and a world-premier musical, Being Audrey with musica and lyrics by Ellen Weiss and book by Jim Hindman with Cheryl Stern.
