Obie Award Grant

  • Presented by Cynthia Nixon, Transport Group received an Obie Award Grant for continued excellence in the New York theatre scene: "Rejuvenating the past and challenging the future, this company is nothing if not ambitious, equally unfazed by the challenges of giving a forgotten play a startling new life or creating a new musical with a cast as large as the audience. In the coming years, they plan to revisit the entire 20th century, commissioning a new work and reviving an old one to stand for every decade. For the excitement of what they've done and what's to come, the judges have voted an Obie Award Grant of $2,500 to Transport Group."
