The 20th Century Project examines the American experience in the 20th century decade by decade through classic plays and musicals as well as newly commissioned plays and musicals.  

The first production in this cycle will be a new musical by Michael John LaChiusa, Queen of the Mist, starring Mary Testa. Queen of the Mist was made possible by a commission from the Shen Family Foundation.  A workshop of this piece was produced in September 2010, funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.  Queen of the Mist will receive a full production by Transport Group during the 2011-2012 season.
