Beginning in the Fall of 2009, TRANSPORT GROUP will embark on its most ambitious project to date: The 20th Century Project. The 20th Century Project will examine the American experience in the 20th century decade by decade through classic plays and musicals as well as new TRANSPORT GROUP commissioned plays and musicals.
How It Works:
Each season will consist of two productions: a play or musical in the Fall and a play or musical in the Spring. The 20th Century Project will take place over 5 seasons running from 2009 through 2014. Running chronologically, each production will focus on a different decade in United States history during the Twentieth Century. The material can either be a piece written in the decade it covers or written at another time but that addresses the American experience in that particular decade.
The 10 Works of The 20th Century Project:
| n | 5 will be pre-existing works and 5 will be TRANSPORT GROUP commissioned works |
